So much of SUPERHOT is an amazing success in finding interesting game design in a well worn genre. Bending the basic gameplay of a first-person shooter into a puzzle game that seems easy at first, and then requires Sisyphean patience later. Despite its many short comings and my co-host’s opinions on the ending I still find myself enjoying the game overall.

McFadden and Kaz join forces to talk about the finer points of personal finance, taxes and the future of VR. Along with Nintendo rumors and speculation about a shortened generation.

I really wish I liked Firewatch more. As a concept I like these walking-simulator games, they play to what I sometimes want out of video games. Atmosphere, story, deep-insights into the human condition. It’s that last part that I loved the most about last year’s Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture and once again it’s the strongest part of these types of games.

Kaz and McFadden convene directly after a 50min session of McFadden pounding his head against the brick wall that is the ultimate level of SUPERHOT. After cooling down by complaining about ‘the youths’ the two discuss the long awaited finished title. Afterwards some “insightful” commentary on the week of video game news.

So I thought it would be good to check in on January and February progress on increasing my activity and reducing that all important statistic: fatness (weight).

I’m down 10 lbs since the beginning of the year, which isn’t as fast as I’d like. It’s a little under a pound a week, and my goal was to be in-between 1-1.5lbs if possible. I still need some work on dietary restriction but how am I doing on activity?
