Our podcast has seen many shifts in format and personnel over the past few years, but our goal has remained consistent since the beginning: to provide analysis of industry trends and software across all platforms, with a healthy dose of irreverent (and occasionally scatological) humor. We’re not limiting ourselves to the new releases hitting store shelves each week, either. This probably isn’t the place to go to if you’re looking for first impressions or early previews; admittedly, we cannot compete with the professional gaming press in this regard. Rather, we’re the guys you come to after the credits have rolled and the achievements have been unlocked. Game communities are constantly evolving, and we’ll be there every step of the way. And no, this doesn’t just mean talking about patches and the latest map packs.
This podcast is a celebration of the social aspects of gaming. We were “smash brothers” long before we became the ‘Pack, and we continue to game with each other on a regular basis. If you look beyond all of the media sensationalism and message board wankery, you’ll discover that video games can help form bonds that will last forever. We’re living proof of that – we’re not jaded journalists (not yet, at least), we’re not tournament players and we’re certainly not fanboys. We’re just folks who love to play and discuss games with each other, and we hope to extend this friendship to our listeners with every installment.
